    This presentation will provide insight into how to manage the interplay between the American's with Disabilities Act, The Family and Medical Leave Act and Workers' Compensatoin Laws.  Vi Clark will give us an "entertaining" presentation outlining strategies for ensuring that all relevant lasw are considered as decisions are made regarding grating and extending time off due to medical reasons.  

     Our Speaker - Violet Clark

    Ms. Clark is a partner at Laner Muchin, Ltd., representing management in employment law and labor relations matters before the EEOC, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, state and federal courts; wage and hour matters before the Illinois and United States Departments of Labor; affirmative action matters with the OFCCP; as well as collective bargaining negotiations, contract drafting and interpretation, grievance handling, and unfair labor practice matters before the NLRB and problem-solving in most, if not all, facets of the employer/employee relationship. Ms. Clark services clients in many non-legal employment/labor relations matters, such as supervisory training, wage and salary administration, the drafting of employer communications, such as those that appear in company newspapers, employee handbooks, letters and speeches from management to employees. Prior to Laner Muchin Ms. Clark was a Senior Trial Attorney with the EEOC and Ms. Clark is currently an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Chicago Commission on Human Relations and the Cook County Commission on Human Rights.
