As a Recruitment Specialist with MH Equipment, you will report to the Executive VP of Employee Services and be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization.
     
    • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
    • Works with HR Managers on creation of job postings.
    • Post jobs on CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
    • Provides information on the Company and job opportunities to potential candidates.
    • Screens resumes and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial phone screening if requested by hiring manager.
    • Completes reference and background checks.
    • Arranges drug tests and physicals for candidates.
    • Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.
    • Responsible for notifying candidates of employment status in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
    • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
    • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university, community college and trade school placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
    • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
    • Analyzes and prepares hiring and turnover statistics.
    • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
    • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
    • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.
    • Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.
    Job Requirements As the Recruitment Specialist with MH Equipment, you must have the core values of confidentiality and integrity and able to work independently and with minimal supervision. You will play a critical role in ensuring that we hire the best possible talent and fit for MH Equipment. Additional requirements for the Recruitment Specialist include
     
    • At least two years of prior recruiting and/or human resources experience with a track record of successful staffing experience.
    • Ability to listen to hiring managers and clearly understand their recruiting needs and job specifications. Must be an excellent communicator (both oral and written) who is comfortable speaking to groups and individuals.
    • Outgoing personality with positive attitude.
    • Good computer skills and fluency with Microsoft programs.
    • Some knowledge of HR principles and practices is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • High energy level and a passion for the job.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
    • Must be able to travel if required.
    • Must meet the physical requirements of the job.
    • Regular and prompt attendance required.

    The Human Resource Generalist provides assistance to all store locations. This role assists in administering employee benefit plans, ACA compliance and resolves benefits-related problems to ensure effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The position works directly with the managers in recruitment and hiring process through full life-cycle. It provides administrative support to human resource functions as needed, to include record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.   This role will also oversee training and enrollment in John Deere classes. It will ensure stores and depts. follow required annual training and individual training goals.

    This position also serves as backup to payroll.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. It processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
    • Ensures benefits are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.
    • Reconciles benefits statements monthly.
    • Prepare and conduct annual benefit open enrollment.
    • Conducts audits of benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
    • Send enrollments, terminations and maintenance on 401K retirement.
    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee and manager requests and questions.
    • Full life-cycle recruitment to include pre-screen interview process. Tracks status of candidates, communicate with mangers and responds with follow-up emails/calls during the process of recruiting.
    • Job fair and other recruitment strategies to fill positions, communicating throughout hiring cycle with manager.
    • Pipeline applicants through high school contact utilizing scholarship process as a tool.
    • Update job descriptions as needed. Update interview guides as needed.
    • Assist with New Hire Orientation as needed.
    • Mails, scans and emails documents as needed; and performs other clerical functions.
    • Prepares and processes new and term employee files.
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
    • Employee bulk mailing as needed.
    • JDU and other employee training enrollment, hotel and flights.
    • Order employee gifts (gift cards, coats, flowers, memorials etc.).
    • Other duties as assigned.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION:
    1. Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
    2. 5 years human resource experience with emphases in recruitment, benefits.
    3. A self-starter; high level of self-initiation.
    4. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
    5. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
    6. Experience with payroll software. (Paycom preferred)
    7. Knowledge of standard office equipment.
    8. High level of organization, attention to detail and accuracy.
    9. Ability to prioritize and meet deadline.
    10. Knowledge of agriculture equipment industry is a plus, but not required.
