    The Heart of Illinois SHRM promotes a high level of expertise and professionalism in the Human Resource Management discipline by identifying and responding to members’ needs.

    Who is the Heart of Illinois SHRM?  HOISHRM is a local association whose membership consists of HR professionals from diverse industries, dedicated to the professional development and networking for individuals whose career focuses on some aspect of human resources responsibility.

    Value in General Membership - As a formal chapter of The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HOISHRM is the leading organization dedicated to the professional development and best practices in the HR Field.  Accordingly, membership in the local chapter opens the door to local area professionals who are actively engaged in professional development and leading contemporary HR practices in their organizations and professionals at large.

    Building Knowledge and Skills – Chapter meetings keep you abreast of the latest trends and issues in the field and normally include SHRM-CP/SCP and HRCI credits.

    Networking and Colleage Support – Attending program offerings and participation in project groups or committees gives you an opportunity to discuss common problems and concerns with other HR professionals!

    Who benefits from membership? - Individuals with a career in HR, who are interested in networking with other professionals and have a desire to develop professionally in the field.

    Success - The success of the HOISHRM and subsequent value to individual members is directly related to the extent of members’ active participation in chapter activities.

    2020-2021 Meetings - Our regular chapter meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of the month.  They are luncheon meetings and include time for networking, a presentation, and participation.  Meeting fees are $30.  **Note: all meetings are currently being held virtually to protect the health and safety of our members, speakers, and sponsors**

    Current SHRM Member - $50
    Non-SHRM Member - $60

    After December 31, 2020
    Current SHRM Member - $60
    Non-SHRM Member - $75
