SHRM A-Team Update

    May 16, 2019

As you may know, this afternoon the Trump administration unveiled its immigration plan. You should know SHRM Government Affairs is actively engaged with the White House on the proposal and will continue to elevate HR's voice and provide valuable insight as this process moves forward. As members of our A-Team and representatives of SHRM, we wanted to make sure you saw our statement on this critical issue.

Workplace Immigration is one of SHRM's key advocacy priorities because talent, like business, is global. At SHRM we focus on policy, not politics. Our non-partisan advocacy ensures we engage in meaningful policy discussions with both parties in Congress. For more information about SHRM's public policy priorities including, Workforce Development, Workplace Equity and Workplace Flexibility & Leave visit, shrm.org/policy.

Together we must be a part of this conversation and help lead policymakers. Your reach is expansive, you are a part of a community of 300,000+ members impacting 115 million people every day. As a part of the A-Team your advocacy efforts create better workplaces for a better world at the local, state and federal levels. You are the voice of SHRM's membership on all issues impacting the workplace and each of us at SHRM are grateful to you for amplifying HR's message on these critical issues.

    Sincerely,

    Emily M. Dickens, JD
